My Father's Quilt

It seems unfair that the world carries on when someone you love dies. Storytelling is not only a way to keep memories alive but it's a sound way to process grief. Join My Father's Quilt each Thursday as we share the stories of everyday people who poured love into a world they left behind.

Peg

Picture middle of the State of Alaska. If you lean in and squint you'll see me waving to you. I live in a rural area on the edge of thousands of acres of wilderness with my husband, seven sled dogs, and one quirky non-swimming Black Lab.

Originally from a small town north of Toronto, I began migrating north early in my 20s. Wild places suit me and I have called tents, cabins, and remote villages in Northern Ontario, Yukon, NWT, Nunavut, and now Alaska my home for more than three decades.

I while away my days by running sled dogs, gardening, fishing, foraging, reading, writing, sewing, cooking, and now, apparently, podcasting. Like my father I have a soft spot for children and puppies.

I'm not sure where this podcast will lead but my seatbelt is buckled up and I'm going to enjoy the ride!
